System Administration

The purpose of system administration is to (de)initialize, configure/manage, preserve (backup), maintain (optimal) operation of computer systems. Certain situations may require client's approval and/or interaction.

Initial implementation: Conditioning/Configuring a (new) environment to a (client's) specification, or desired application.

Scheduled/Routine administration: Periodic, or one-time maintenance.

  • Maintenance, updates, "performance tune-up": Overall system maintenance. Involves software updates, and resolves issues such as malfunctioning, misconfigured, and unnecessary components of a system. Potentially, this may be time extensive.

Resident administration: Administrator is always responsible for all the system's administration needs.

Hardware Services

(De)Installations, repairs, upgrades:

  • Custom (barebone) PC (x86) builds.
  • Peripherals.
  • Software driver interface.
  • Network.

Information Technology Consulting

Information technology (IT) consulting assists and informs clients of the potential options related to a particular solution.

Given a desired result, ITC may involve:

  • Providing a range of relevant information pertaining to a subject, from general current market research.
  • Providing assistance with decision-making.
  • Preparing a document containing the requested information. outlines, specifications, solutions.

General Computer Repair.

Generally, an estimation is only most accurately accomplished during the repair process. Fee is time-based. A time estimation usually is only possible during the repair process (estimation may not be precise). Note that other issues/problems may be discovered during the repair process, and repairs may require hardware replacement.
